Powered by Intel, ESL One has announced its return to Southeast Asia as the next Tier One DOTA 2 tournament following The International. From December 11 to 17, twelve of the best DOTA 2 teams will battle it out in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur, with a whopping $1,000,000 prize pool on the line.
With the slogan “Rise Above Fate” and the teams’ unknown, anything is possible in the Oracle's hands! Read on for everything we know so far about ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
The tournament will begin with a three-day Group Stage, consisting of two groups of six teams each, with a single round-robin format. These matches will be held online in a LAN format.
Only the best six teams will proceed to the double-elimination playoffs, playing in front of a live audience. The twelve competing teams have yet to be announced, so watch this space for further updates!
The ESL One Kuala Lumpur playoff matches (December 15-17) will be hosted at the MITEC (Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre) in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur. MITEC is the largest exhibition center in the country, capable of hosting 20K visitors for an action-packed competition.
